IM design studios is an interior design firm based in Santa Fe, NM, owned
by designers Jeff Fenton and Chris Martinez. Our projects include ground-up new home construction, interior remodels, and
single room makeovers. Our work has been featured in many local and national magazines as well as on television.
We are recognized for our dynamic, creative style; our open, client-friendly approach; and our ability to
provide vision to a client’s aspirations.
It is our belief that design should have meaning, it should connect
a client to their space. Inspiration for
design can be found everywhere; the landscape, architecture, art and personal experiences. At IM design studios, we work closely
with our clients to discover and realize that connection to create a design that is uniquely theirs.

Our Feature Project:
A Contemporary Point Of View
“Modern Organic” was our design brief for this unique home as hip, empty-nesters make the big move to
Santa Fe from Washington DC. Perched atop a beautiful east-facing site, this elegant contemporary home is within earshot of
the Santa Fe Opera. The home is a sophisticated blend of clean modern lines balanced with organic shapes and materials; with
subtle nods to traditional regional elements such as vigas. The firm, Turner, Lechner & Romero Architecture designed the
home which was built by Steve Rivera of SRC Construction.

Our new home is a collaborative gem. Working with
Jeff & Chris & Pamela meant a worry-free process, despite our absence during much of the construction. We depended
upon IM design and IM design came through beyond our expectations. Jeff stepped-up consistently and appropriately, doing whatever
needed to be done. He was our liaison with architects and contractors and vendors. We consider ourselves
opinionated - we know what we like and what we want. Jeff was able to incorporate what we communicated - from major decisions
to minute details - so that our home reflects our taste and our aesthetic.
Have we mentioned how much fun it was? We once asked Jeff if he would be the same friendly and available person when we
weren't paying him a design fee. Indeed, Jeff, Chris & Pamela are now friends who continually enrich our lives. We've
worked together for over a year. Thousands of well-guided decisions later we have the home of our dreams, a place for friends
and family to experience all that is special about New Mexico. Sometimes it just all clicks!
